When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Daniel 3:17, 27

About Fire Walking

Walking over fire has been around since 1200BC in all countries and cultures.

It is an ancient art that has been used within communities for many reasons including; rites of passage, purification, initiation, healing, and celebration rituals.

Now we are bringing fire walking to awakened communities everywhere for healing, empowerment and wellbeing.

The First Firewalk

The earliest recorded ritual of Firewalking dates all the way back to 1200 BC during the Iron Age, where two Brahmin priests took a Firewalk together as a competition. The competition stated that whoever walked the furthest on the hot coals was the victor and had their accomplishment documented.

The Healing Powers of Fire

Healing ceremonies were one of the main purposes of Fire walking throughout its history. During the 17th Century, a Jesuit priest was one of the first people to see a healing Fire walk. The walk was performed by Native Americans in North America. In his letter back to his superior he stated that ‘the sick woman walked through the hot embers barefoot and did not scream or get burned’ and that ‘she could not feel the heat from it at all’.

We all have fears and barriers in our lives but many of us never overcome them.

To complete a fire walk can be one of the greatest achievements in overcoming an obstacle, barrier or self-limiting belief. It is important to understand that you don’t have to ‘beat the fire’ to accomplish these things. The fire is not your enemy, it is a powerful and natural source of energy that can guide a person to know their full strengths and capabilities.

Consider the fire as a friend, or even a grandfather calling on the firewalker to come in and set their worries down, in fact, the fire can teach us so many valuable lessons if we respect and honour it.

With this mindset, the fire can become an alliance or a teacher, and nothing to be afraid of at all.
The firewalkers who carry these values, often report experiencing nothing but empowerment, enlightenment and a sense of feeling grounded with mother earth.

Many people come to fire walks over and over again because they feel an overriding inner calling to the fire to make necessary changes in their life, as though the fire is burning inside of them. In this case the firewalker becomes fire-immune and are left feeling a great sense of inner healing and euphoria.

Of course, with all high risks activities it is possible to occasionally receive a 'fire kiss' but this is also an important part of the journey and why it is fundamental to choose the right fire walking instructor who can ensure a safe and professional experience for every participant and a memory that is etched in their hearts and minds for a lifetime.
